I LOVED this book!!!!! I had such high expectations for it after finishing "To Kill a Kingdom" by this same author last year, but they were surpassed! The author's incredible ability to create such a simultaneously fun and dark world really shines in this novel. The romance is also an actually well-developed enemies-to-lovers trope, which I feel is so rare to find these days. The main character, Selestra, was also giving SUCH girlboss energy throughout the entire story, which I absolutely love to see. On top of that, I am currently proudly displaying this book on my bookshelf because the cover is literally to die for. It's one of those kinds where the front and back cover arts are connected! That is such a minor detail but it makes me so happy! Overall, I would definitely give this novel a read if you get the chance. It is totally worth adding another book to your TBR!
