It has been awhile that I have gotten into a fantasy book, but this is very dark. The whole premise of a witch that takes souls is such a dark vibe perfect for the fall. I do think the main character is well written and interesting, so following her journey will be very interesting. This is a messed up kingdom in a lot of ways.
