The writing style was not my favorite. It was somewhat exposition heavy and not in an interesting or well integrated way. The characters and the descriptions felt a bit cliched, or at least they fell into very well-worn tropes and there was nothing yet that made them stand out from other iterations. However, there was nothing that immediately turned me off of the story; it was just average.
