Interesting YA fantasy
It feels like most books published in this age category are fantasies, and this one seems like it stands out a little more than others. Maybe it’s the Rapunzel angle, which I love. But it feels so dark and full of death—I’m looking for books a little lighter these days.
I also like a little more meat on the bones, as it were, and the short paragraphs just didn’t flow well for me. I also wasn’t terribly impressed by the cover—it seemed a little “self-published” for a Big 5 house.
