The book opens up so eerily beautiful, I was captivated by the lyrical writing style from the first page. The heroine, Selestra, is an intriguing character and I enjoyed reading about the backstory of the festival through her eyes and her thoughts on her life. Her voice is clear and I'm itching to know more about her, the world, and the boy who's destiny is somehow intertwined with hers.
And the atmosphere of the novel is just stunning. I could picture everything that was written so vividly, it felt like I was in the room with Selestra as the people of the kingdom came in for their predictions.
