I was hooked from the very first sentence! The writing is solid, and the characters are engrossing. The plot is intriguing and promises to be fast paced. I think the stage was really well set in those first few chapters for a truly gripping story to unfold.

I sometimes struggle with YA novels that center around younger teen protagonists because they don't feel believable to me, but that definitely isn't the case with this novel. I think this book will be enjoyed by YA readers and adults who enjoy YA fantasy alike. This story promises to be really dark, and I am absolutely here for it!
