Alexandra Christo’s writing has improved dramatically
I read Alexandra Christo’s “To Kill a Kingdom” years ago, and I was disappointed. I didn’t connect to the characters, world, plot, or writing. However, in just the first 32 pages of Princess of Souls I was completely immersed in the story and felt connected to the characters. It didn’t hurt that Nox has one of my favorite book character personality styles: the arrogant, clever, silver-tongued rebel. Nox gave major Nikolai Lantsov vibes.
The cover is also beautiful and I love the many-toned green hair of our main heroine. I am slightly confused though as to why the cover depicts Selestra with more tanned skin while in the First Look her skin is described as being so pale as to reflect light? Other than that though I absolutely love the cover and it grabbed my attention immediately!
