As a history and skincare nerd, I was immediately drawn to this book. I admit that I knew little about men's' contributions to the beauty/makeup/skincare industries prior to reading this book. Pretty Boys opened my eyes to the impact they made, and more importantly, the path they will pave for future beauty and wellness enthusiasts.
The book was easy to read, mostly due to the brightly colored, eye-popping illustrations. The information was easily digestible and interesting to read. I was excited to not only see an underrepresented group (in the beauty and wellness industries) highlighted, but to also see a diverse range of people.
No matter how you identify, you will be able to walk away with some new facts, and with inspiration to level up your own beauty and wellness routine. I'm looking forward to keeping up with Yi's work in the future!
