The cover is striking and the premise intriguing. The excerpt definitely lived up to the synopsis. History interlaced with actual skincare techniques and advice. I did think it was a bit odd and out of place, even in this modern social media world of hashtags, to use a hashtag in the text of the Rameses the Great chapter. To me, the use of the hashtag detracted and even takes away from the purpose of the book, but maybe it speaks more to the younger generation this book is aimed at. Overall, I think this seems like a well-researched book and I'd be interested in reading it.
