I was not sure what I was getting to when I opened this book but I found a bit of history, modernity, beauty, references, and a really well-structured piece of non-fiction. I really liked the images and the history behind beauty trends that, honestly, I never would have thought I would be interested in reading about, but this book is very clear and engaging when learning of beauty and the diversity it provides.
