Looking at the cover and glancing at the blurb, I knew this book would be completely different from what I usually read. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. The personable voice and mentions of current celebrities make the book enjoyable to read. I thought the drawings were also great to see. The history of beauty outlined was very interesting and enjoyable to read about.
