I love that this book combines history and beauty tips. It tells how beauty was a means of power and influence. How it was used as both religious purposes and the practicals reasons for their beauty regime. It doesn't go much into any history but it's not a book on history anyways and is a good starting point if you want to know more. Also some fun illustrations throughout.
