I really want to read this story to watch Jo’s transformation from the wrestling team practice girl to her own woman. It seems as though her mom and stepfather are emotionally AWOL after her father’s sudden death. The boys on the team are pleasant enough to her on the surface but really are just using her, possibly even passing her around. Learning of this at a party with the boy she thought was her best friend must have been horrible, devastating to a teenage girl. I feel for her. I really want to see how this turns out for her as she deals with the loss of her father, who seemed like kind of a good-time dad from what has been described about their relationship. This really brings back teenage years and how unfair things could be for girls. Hopefully her mother will wake up and be there for her and same for her friend Sam. Looking forward to this tale of growing up.
