Reminded me of everything I hated about being a teenager. The nervousness, the hormones, the lack of understanding and the deeply ingrained misogyny. I really enjoyed the focus on loneliness and the detail afforded to the most emotional relationships in Jo’s life. This seems like a very solid modern coming-of-age with a focus on sexuality, mental health and loving yourself.
