The title alone was emotional- I love that there are so many excellent Young Adult books are able and DO talk about real life experiences that are traumatic and impactful. While I wasn't familiar with the term itself, I know the concept of a "practice girl" and in reading the start to this story it breaks my heart to see our main character at the start of the story just being a teenager. I think this book will be a powerful story!
