Coming of Age with a Feministic storyline - Practice Girl
I had never heard of the term Practice Girl before reading the author note in the front of this first impression. What an awful, yet believable, term used. I love the author's hope that this book challenges the term and spin a light on this phrase.
I like how we open to the scene immediately following the sexual encounter that the blurb alludes to. Poor Beck, feeling her heartbreak as she realizes that Tyler has no intentions of moving their relationship forward and that sense of being used brings up memories of adolescence. This will be a great coming of age novel.
