Coming of age stories are always winners in my eyes. Maybe that's why I gravitate so much towards YA novels. In the case of the Practice Girl, my heart really feels for Jo Beckett--how horrible to be known as "the practice girl" amongst boys your own age. An awful stigma that sticks with her, one she wants to change. I so desperately feel for her and want to know her story.
