Wow! OMG I have to say it's been a while since I read a Heather Graham book and I was a little startled how quickly I was drawn into this story. It's not just about the romance, this is a Suspense novel, one in the Harlequin Intrigue series, and yes it's part of another series but can be read as a stand alone. I now want to go read the rest of the stories in the series and I'm eager to read the next book! This story follows the steps of Sarah Hampton and Tyler Grant 10yrs after they were part of a horrific Halloween night. The story doesn't just showcase the love story of Sarah and Grant but also the way one event can and does change people in unexpected ways. The story is so very realistic I don't think I'll look at Halloween the same ever again. Fans of great stories with wonderful and realistic characters will adore OUT OF THE DARKNESS. The suspense leaves you both guessing and sure you know just what happened, there are surprises to be found and the underlying story of trusting in the goodness of others. I highly recommend this story to everyone, fans of romance, suspense and those who love shows like Criminal Minds and Law and Order!
