Not a mystery reader, but I want to read this!

At first, it seems that Graham is taking her readers into a typical Halloween night with a typical high school crowd. It quickly becomes apparent that this is not the case. Readers are drawn in as the main character's cousin tells her not to visit a haunted house because, basically, it's scary and bad. Her cousin goes on to say that his father warned him about that particular haunted house. This is when the main character is shocked because her uncle is dead. She forgoes the trip inside and waits with her cousin while her friends take a tour. I'm not sure what happened next because that's where the preview ended. And now I'm thinking, "What happens inside that house?!? I have to know!" Kudos to Graham for creating suspense and drawing me in!
