I know Heather Graham is a super popular author, but I've never read any of her books before. I read lots of suspense books though, so I was really excited to read this one.

Unfortunately, it was just OK. On the plus side, the book was very fast-paced - it only took me a day to read. I really liked the opening chapters. I thought the haunted house setting was really unique and captivating. I also liked the main characters, but they weren't fully developed. They seemed more like caricatures than real people.

On the negative side, I didn't think the writing that very good or that the plot was very interesting. The author spent a great deal of time explaining the textbook differences between "sociopath" and "psychopath." (Who cares? I don't want to meet either in a dark alley.) There were also several other repetitive plot points.

It wasn't a terrible book - it just wasn't my cup of tea. If you're a Heather Graham fan, I bet you'll love this one!
