It wasn’t until I had read a few chapters of this book until I realized it was a part of a series. I’m not sure it mattered too much, because it seemed like they spent a good amount of time introducing the characters. It was a quick read, and was entertaining enough, but it felt like something was missing.

The first few chapters were by far the most interesting to me.. then it started to fall a bit flat. I found Tyler and Sarah’s relationship a bit cheesy and convenient. I think understandably the kids at the start of the book went through a lot.. but they seemed to move on quickly after a moment of tragedy 10 years later.

It was a good time killer on a rainy weekend, but I am not sure I will read the other books in this series.
