Heather Graham is an amazing writer, and I've read several of her books in the past. This one looks to be as good as her others. Her sense of rising suspense is on point as usual, and her characters are interesting as always. I want to learn more about them every time!
In this book she has a character with Down's syndrome, Davey, whose father recently died. He feels his father is still with him, and the people he's with that night are only tolerating him because he won the tickets to the haunted house they're attending. His cousin is there, and she's torn between compassion for him and the deire to hang out with her friends without the disctration of taking care of a handicapped relative.
