This story's premise was built on a solid fear. Two escaped convicts enter a haunted house and terrorize those inside, but this story isn't about the ones attacked but is about those that survived. Years later those that made it out that night start to show up dead Sarah calls on the one person she knows who can help, her ex Tyler. Tyler is now a PI after many years of military training and still holds some feelings for Sarah. Other survivors of the night start to band together as another murder make it apparent that the group is being hunted. As their old relationship begins to become apparent to Sarah and Tyler they are busy enlisting the help of many to find out more about the horrendous murders happening around them. With detailed characters, interesting plot and just enough twist to keep you guessing Out of the Darkness is a great read and swift read that is hard to put down.
