A Romantic-suspense (frankly a new sub-genre to me) begins with a tragic scene when a group of friends are in high school. At a season (Halloween) amusement park, Sarah, her boyfriend Tyler, her cousin with Down Syndrome, Davey, and a number of other friends had won tickets (truthfully, Davey had won the tickets) to the haunted mansions. Davey had a bad feeling about one of the mansions and he didn't want to enter but everyone else (except his cousin Sarah) went on ahead. Then tragedy hit and there was a mass murder inside the haunted mansion. Thankfully, all of Sarah's friends survive.
