Out of the Darkness has a fun fall feeling to it that includes the excitement of Halloween, cool weather, and high school. The writing style seems a bit simplistic for me, more geared towards possibly a young adult read. The snippet was really too short to tell whether I was interested in reading more, there simply wasn't enough in the small amount to really draw me in or push me away.
