First of all, I don't think the cover is a good match. Of course I'm only basing it off the excerpt and not the whole book. So my opinion might change after reading all of it. Second, I found myself having to go back and revisit the introduction of the characters as there were a handful introduced all at once in the beginning. And lastly, I thought Sarah was too empathetic in regards to Davey. Teenagers rarely have such a strong best interest for others. I'm not saying she shouldn't have any at all. Just maybe tone it down a bit. All in all it did pique my interest. I could read the book. Oh! I forgot to mention that I especially liked the description of the book. Hooks you immediately.
