I was engaged in this excerpt from the first line! This is my kind of book - thriller as you know that something bad is going to happen and soon. I also like when you see back in time and then jump to modern day. And I love that the cousin has different needs - as a parent of a child with different needs, it is good to see a compassionate (at least so far) rendering of this. Can't wait to read the whole book!
