Overall, I enjoyed reading this book. I thought the pace was great, I appreciated the mixed media format, and I thought the premise was intriguing enough to keep me interested.

**Potential Spoilers Below**

The main downside I had to this book was that it was pretty confusing as the mystery unraveled. Maybe it was intentional? But I had a hard time following and I'm not sure if I fully understand what happened between Sophie/Sophia. However, I believe this is the first book I've read that classifies as horror. I've read plenty of thrillers, however I must admit all of those books were rooted in the confines of the law of our world (re: Gillian Flynn, Riley Sager, etc.) So maybe the confusion was on my part rather than the author's. Nevertheless, I would be interested in more backstory and details of the echo world and the seven kingdoms. It seemed like the only information that was revealed was pretty rudimentary, and personally I prefer to be given as much context as possible for stories that touch on supernatural or fantasy worlds.

It seems like the author left room for a follow-up novel, so if that will be the case, I hope to pick it up and see if more can be revealed about the seven worlds and how they affect the characters we met in this one.
