This was creepy and weird and a little confusing. I loved the chapters that were transcripts of video files, they added some interesting breaks to the main story, along with flashbacks. The mist and the monsters were terrifying, the more we saw of the echoes, the more absolutely creeped out I was, especially towards the end of the book.

I loved I Am Still Alive and Rules for Vanishing so I knew I had to read this ASAP. I didn't like it quite as much as the other two, but it was still a very enjoyable read that sucked me right into finishing it in two sittings. It kind of reminded me of The Hollow Places, not in plot/premise, but the type of horror.

Sophia/Sophie goes "undercover" changing her last name to return to an island that she was never told she was on as a child until she was an teen, and now she is looking for answers. She finds some, but I actually still had a few left at the end that I am so curious about.
