Interesting paranormal YA story.
I do have to say first off that I have read the authors previous book, Rules for Vanishing, and love, love, LOVED it! It was amazing and I had high hopes for Our Last Echoes. Our Last Echoes has a really cool idea and the format is like the other book (with some very secondary characters showing up). This book has a interview / archive setup and plays on the paranormal theme however for me sections of the story were all over the place and just a little to weird for me. This lacked the pulse pounding thriller vibe from the other book. With that being said though, I was invested in some of the aspects to this story. Have you ever seen Stranger Things? Well, some parts of the book reminded me of that. The whole "upside down world" was kind of neat but I wasn't feeling the demon / angel vibe so much. That's just me though.
