Soooo this book was confusing. What I liked was the setting. The Bitter Rock, Alaskan setting was described in a way that’s so atmospheric. Sophia was a great main character to read about and I really enjoyed seeing her relationship with Abby grow. I liked that none of these characters really knew each other going into the book but really found their way as a family by the end of it! I love a good found family aspect in books!! Now the tricky parts! The “echos” are like evil versions of the characters that live in a different world? I think that’s what was going on. The premise was waaaayyy different than anything I’ve read before but I think some of what happened got lost on me bc we were switching thru time/alt realities and with the same characters etc. the ending was a little lost on me, I’m not exactly sure what happened or whos back in the real world (but that’s probably the point right?) i did really enjoy it and I would highly recommend the audiobook!
