The first part of this First look literally gave me chills; it was so creepy. I really liked the fragmentation of the writing because it allowed the reader's imagination to fill in the ominous blanks. I also liked how each chapter was broken up be other accounts of this island. It added more intrigue than just the main character's search for her mother. In regards to plot, I feel like it has a good mixture of mystery about both the narrator and her past. I also really love the cover. It looks incredibly creepy, and it matches the vibe of the first 40 or so pages. I am intrigued and definitely want to read more!
