I didn't love the book opening with the radio broadcast transcription, but once it turned to Sophia's arrival at Bitter Rock, I became intrigued with the character and her past. Liam sharing the "like a ghost story" of the girl in the boat was spooky and makes me excited to learn about what happened to all of the people who have disappeared before. The writing gave me enough information to keep me interested and left enough out to make me want to keep reading to fill in the puzzles pieces.
