The first thing I thought as I read the first pages was, finally someone has written a truly unique mystery novel! The plot, the way it's written with both narrative and transcripts and the fact that it isn't simply one mysterious disappearance/occurrence, but many that happen over a long period of time all stuck out to me and made me want to know more. Definitely seems like a story that will keep me guessing until the last page, my favorite kinds of books!
