I knew by the cover, which I absolutely love, that this was going to be a ghost story. I love ghost stories and on top of it a mystery. Sophia remembers almost drowning and keeps having visions of it but as far back as she can remember she has never been in a body of water. So she finagles her way into an internship on an island called Bitter Rock with bird scientists known as ornithologists. I can't wait to read more of this great book and what mysteries Sophia uncovers.
