The writing is truly excellent. I was instantly drawn in, my attention thoroughly captured, even though I know it isn't my usual style of book at all. I love the use of radio transcript, interview transcript, and standard prose - the change in format just makes it more interesting. I know it's not the sort of book I should read, that it would be bad for my mental state (entirely too creepy), but I'm sorely tempted because it's so good.
