I feel like I have made a mistake reading the sneak peek right before bed time. My overactive imagination is going to go into hyperdrive with this teaser of thriller, possibly paranormal, novel. People vanishing in thin air, Sophie mistaking a tree for a man (or was the man really there?!?!?!?). And Mrs. Popova's question about whether you have to be dead to be a ghost. There is definitely potential in this story.
