When I picked this book up I had no idea I was going to love it this much.
Ophelia is the most relatable character, she is sweet, friendly and passionate.
This book takes you back to your last year of high school, the fear of losing your friends, of moving out to college. But it also explores Ophelia’s sexuality in the most realistic way. She has always been the boy obsessed girl, and suddenly she has a crush on a girl.
I felt the humanity of all the characters, their flaws and their personalities. All of them are perfectly written, but I loved Sammy specially, I knew from the beginning that he was going to be my protected.
This book is not a romance. Keep that in mind while reading. It is not a love story, it is a story about self-discovery, friendship, family, heritages.
You will not regret giving this story a chance. It goes directly to one of my best books this year.
