This was such a sweet book! Ophelia's story was full of love and hope and self-discovery, and it was a joy to watch her grow and find herself. I really liked her relationship with her parents and how deep her friendships ran, and the ending was perfect.

My only gripe with this book was the amount of drama within Ophelia's friend group—it got to be a lot at certain points. Although it was clear they all (well, most of them) cared deeply for one another, it was a bit tiring to get through all those teenage ups and downs and tangled romances. Maybe I've just outgrown that side of YA, but there were a few times where I was just like okayyyyy I think we all need to take a deep breath and talk to each other... but then they wouldn't :/

Besides the sometimes unnecessary friend drama though, this was a really great read. Ophelia was a lovely mc, with a fresh and spirited voice that made her story all the more endearing. Overall, I'm very impressed by this debut novel—Racquel Marie is an author to watch!
