I don't often read books from a queer perspective, but this book proved that I need to. The whole cast of characters were loveable, each in their own way. Ophelia is one of those main characters that so many different types of people can see themselves in, and I loved reading about her. She was awesome, but also made mistakes, which made her so much more endearing. The contemporary genre is filled with so much, but Ophelia After All sticks out because of how refreshing it is. The coming of age story is one that I think I will for sure pick up again. Ophelia showed how important it is to not try so hard to fit into a box, which is a lesson that I and others need to hear more often. Racquel Marie put me through a whirlwind of emotions, but I thank her for it! It honestly helped me reflect on myself and my own life.
I cannot recommend this book enough! Please read it!
