Ophelia After All feels like a hug and has become a favorite comfort read of mine. It is a Young Adult coming of age story with Ophelia and friends in their senior year.
I loved Ophelia's romantic heart and love of flowers. The friend group here was one of my favorites as they didn't grow without their share of arguments. Her friend group growing and shifting was interesting to watch Ophelia's wanting to keep her sexuality to herself with the friends she's had for years was understandable. It can be super hard realizing that the sexuality you always thought was yours may not be anymore and how do you ever know if you're not given an opportunity to discover it? There's no default but it can be easy to feel like you're defaulted because you never had a clear cut way of telling anything else.
I loved seeing Ophelia learn more about who she is and how she can grow and change.
