So far, the book seems like it can be romantic without making me cringe, which is good since I'm not usually one for romance. However, it also seems to follow the classic YA problem of telling-not-showing diversity on the page in a way that feels somewhat unnatural, and I'm not exactly glued to the story yet. I did use my points to get the ARC though - so I guess we'll see!
