Wow, right from the first moment, I'm completely sucked in to this world. Opening with a snippet of a vivid scene only to find it's a daydream - I love it! I love YA that examines important issues of our time and also feels so important for representation of so many groups - Latinx and queer, in this case. The vivid, atmospheric writing and absolutely realistic dialogue (harder to write than you'd think!) totally nails this one for me. I'm dying to read the rest!
