As someone with Cuban heritage, I was already intrigued by this book with its Cubana protagonist. After reading this excerpt, I'm even more excited to read it (also now I want some ropa vieja). I'm loving Ophelia so far; she's just the right amount of boy-crazy where it's endearing and not frustrating, haha. This book is going right onto my TBR.
