Gene falls in love at first sight one day working amongst the citrus trees. When the time comes for them to leave for college, he finds himself tangled up in his relationship and his grades begin to fall. Not sure how he will get into med school on his grades, he spends the summer in the operating theater observing his father the heart surgeon. Sounds like an interesting read but stressful to hear all about Gene and his troubles.
