My heart was pounding as I read the first chapter! This story sounds like it will keep you on the edge of your seat all the way through. What happens to Gene as he gets older, what happened to the girl they came upon the highway, and what happens between Gene and his father?? Lots of questions in just reading the first few pages. I'd like to find out more.
