I'm intrigued by the first few chapters of this book. As a biomedical researcher, I enjoy medical writing, especially when it is the backdrop of of a well-written human story. This one seems to have all of that - romance, heartache, family drama, and more. I'm curious to read more about how the author uses the surgical operating room as a backdrop for the relationship dynamics playing out in Gene's life.
