Beautifully Written but it Didn't Catch My Attention

There is no doubt to me that this book is beautifully written. Reading for the excerpt, I did admire the skill with which the author wrote the story. However, I just wasn't grabbed by this story. Not every book is for everyone and this one just didn't jump out at me.

I'm sure it'll be right up someone else's alley though!

I also wasn't a huge fan of the cover, though it could possibly have some significant to the plot.
