I knew from the moment I read the synopsis this book would be right up my alley. I love a good murder mystery, and this book truly is the perfect mix of the thriller and supernatural genres.

The authors writing style is so rich and vivid. I felt like I could envision the everything happening within the story. I know next to nothing about free diving, but the descriptions made me believe I knew more than I do. More than anything I love how the author was able to depict such raw emotions like grief in a very poignant powerful way. She never shied away from depicting ugliness that grief causes.

Because I enjoyed the writing style so much, I found this to be such as quick and easy to follow read. I understood what was going on, never felt confused, and always felt like I was on the edge of my seat. The author gave just enough clues that I was able to figure out who the killer was, but then she made me second guess myself. Over all this was such a fun read, I would recommend it to anyone who loves a good YA murder mystery.
