I picked up this book very excited. I was happy to read a book from Florida, especially about a girl who loved the springs. I am always intrigued by a murder mystery and I looked forward to the parallels between Celeste and Bailey and Tru and Rio.

I almost didn't finish this book because instead of parallels, the story took a more supernatural turn. It didn't seem like it fit when the idea was brought up. The middle of the story felt like it was so many little details about the possible past and learning about Rio, that it hurt the plot.

I continued reading and the story did get better. The relationship ends up being important to the story and you go through the many twists and turns of a good mystery. If you like a little supernatural and are willing to sit through a few chapters to get to the real plot, this book would be good. I could've used more action throughout.
